Business Systems Analyst
The Associate Business Systems Analyst collaborates with individuals across the organization to capture and use data to implement change. This is an entry-level analyst who supports both the systems and the processes of the business unit. In our fast-paced, high-performing environment, this role deliveries projects and support across the business by building relationships, being innovative and delivering results in an ambiguous work environment.
As part of the Business Continuity team, you will work with other teams across Thrivent, and partner with leaders within the organization to map out business processes. You will work to develop a source of records for all critical business processes and develop ongoing maintainable procedures to minimize business risks. You will also be involved in business continuity projects that include planning and crafting BCP exercises as well as continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs entry-level analyst work, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating basic business systems, processes, data, and user needs
Resolves basic issues escalated by the business team using a simple, non-technical language. But can also consult with IT counterparts in a more technical manner
Provides references for users by designing and maintaining documentation, providing support, and training for basic processes
Provides support during the completion of regulatory compliance and audit reviews
Capture basic data to support business needs, regulatory and audit requests
Manages and successfully delivers less complex projects
The role requires strong presentation skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills.
Associates degree or equivalent
0-2 years of experience in the business system analyst field or related area
Basic levels of analysis and independence
Experience with Microsoft Office
Financial Services industry knowledge and/or experience is helpful
Any experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
