This position is responsible for the process design, configuration, requirement gathering and guiding custom development for the SAP Retail Master Data area, as well as integration touch points to other processes and systems. This position is also responsible for being an integral member of cross-functional teams tasked with solving business requirements. Responsible for understanding how to estimate, configure and leverage SAP functionality to meet core business process needs. This position would interface regularly with business stakeholders, development teams, and third parties to ensure that business requirements are met through proper system design and configuration.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP Retail Master Data Business Process Management.
Serves as the subject matter expert for SAP master data processes.
Partners with business users to identify and prioritize business requirements.
Coordinate/collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams on best practices, design and environment setup.
Design SAP solutions to meet business requirements.
Conducts design reviews and assists with the design and specification development.
Partners with development resources to provide detail functional specifications and field mapping documents for custom development and help to translate functional specifications into technical requirements.
Responsible for quality testing and working with users to gain user acceptance testing.
Works with business to ensure mutual accountability as design results are achieved. Holds the business accountable to the design.
Coordinates and/or executes master data conversion for large projects
Leads project deployment and supports project hyper care.
Provide third level production support and identify root causes to issues.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field.
5 years of related SAP Configuration or SAP Retail experience.
2 years of SAP Retail Master Data experience and ASAP Methodology.
Completed at least one entire lifecycle SAP implementation with experience using ASAP methodology.
Experience with SAP IDOCS and interfacing with third party systems.
Experience in creating functional specifications for Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, and Enhancement objects and coordinating with technical team for the development.
Experience in testing efforts during various integration, regression, and user acceptance test cycle.
Proven ability to work effectively within groups and individually, manage project deliverables, and maintain business relationships.
Ability to work in complex technical environment.
Excellent Problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
May require local and international travel.
Experience with implementing Master Data in a SAP Retail environment. This includes creating Sites, Customers, Articles, Assortments, Listings, Pricing and Promotions.
Experience in Global SAP Retail rollouts.
Some technical experience using data conversion tools (running or writing scripts)
Hands on experience with SAP configuration and implementation of retail processes including replenishment, purchasing, inventory management, reverse logistics, allocation, MRP and Warehouse Management.
