Summary:The Product Owner (PO) shall have Agile-oriented experience of Business Analysis and Project Management activities in a software development environment. Interfacing with the Business and partner areas to understand their product needs, the PO will work with the Scrum Team and the Chief Product Owner in order to develop and maintain the Product Backlog while ensuring value is delivered at each stage of the project. The Agile Coach/Lead must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be sensitive to the changing needs of the business, be able to analyze problems, and recommend solutions. Essential Job Functions: Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile / Scrum practices and values to delight customers Guides the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks Asks probing questions to fully understand business requirements and provide feedback to the business on the implications of requests Defines, analyzes, and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into User Stories Employs best practices, such as leading the effort to define use case models and activity diagrams as appropriate, to clearly define User Stories Develops and maintains a Product Backlog of User Stories Facilitates and drives sizing and prioritization exercises for Product Backlog Leads the review of User Stories and other artefacts with the Scrum Team to clearly communicate the system requirements and product vision Requirements College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) * Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II) is a plus Project Management certification a plus Minimum five years of combined business, project management, team leadership, and IT experience required Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership, and coaching skills Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) Knowledge of outsourcing methodologies and operating models, and working with professional services firms Demonstrable knowledge in Web and Mobile product/solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desirable Skills and Background: Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
