Our employees are not only part of history, theyu2019re making history.nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Steam Turbine Testing Supervisor 2 based in Sunnyvale, CA.nWhat youu2019ll get to do:nManage the Test Facility Operating Team and oversee Test Facility Operations in support of Test Campaigns and individual component testing for quality; and to maximize schedule and cost performance.nManage the support for all aspects and phases of Test operations from inception through completion.nResponsible for the cost and schedule performance of Operations programs and/or subsystems of major programs in the Test areas.nMonitors and drives adherence to master plans and schedules, cost performance to budgets. Provides cost and schedule performance data/status as requested.nIdentifies process problems and working with Manufacturing Test Engineering develops solutions.nDirects the work of assigned Employees. u00a0Interfaces with Employee representatives as required.u00a0 Conducts performance reviews with Employees and provides timely feedback on performance.nCoordinate, Maintain and track Employee Training/Certifications as required.nWork with Manufacturing Test Engineering of the Preparation, Maintenance and Operation of the Test Facilities. u00a0Assist in facility planning, maintenance and improvements.nTo learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our Selecting the Best Qualified Managers video: ****nSNYVLCAnMANUMSn1NGSPACEn#NGFeaturedJobsnBasic Qualifications: Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college or university with 9 years of experience; Master's with 7 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of experience (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).n2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in the operation and maintenance of a boiler steam plant system.n5 years of relevant work experience.nUnderstanding of SAP.nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.nAbility to work first/day shift or second/swing shift.nMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.nPreferred Qualifications: Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.nExperience managing union represented workforce.nUS Naval or Civilian management experience in the safe operation and maintenance of a boiler steam generation system (certified steam plant operator or licensed to operate a high pressure steam plant) is strongly desired.nExperience as a Tester Bu00a0 journeyman tester.nExperience in metallurgy.nKnowledge and experience in welding processes, general machining and precision large industrial assembly.u00a0nUS Naval Machinist Mate experience.nEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
