The pricing and underwriting team is driven by providing pricing and products that meet our customers' needs as well as protecting the financial security of the business for our customers. They're the engine room that drives our insurance business, and we have some opportunities for senior analysts to join our evolving team here in Manchester and build a career with a business which puts people at the heart of its strategy.As a pricing analyst with us you'll produce analysis to support the relevant team, which you'll be assigned based on demand at the time, to deliver their objectives. You'll undertake assigned pieces of work in a heavily analytically focussed role. What you'll do • Build efficient and well presented data & MI reports on both a periodic and ad hoc basis• Present reports and recommendations to internal colleagues, often at a senior level, and external partners where required with support from senior colleagues• Undertake highly technical analysis and modelling to provide insight and interpretation of data to colleagues within the pricing & underwriting team as well as across finance and risk if applicable• Respond promptly and appropriately to queries from the business with support from senior colleagues where required• Challenge and drive continuous improvement in processes, procedures and documentation methods• Check, validate and test data • Support project activity as requiredWe'd love to talk to you if• You've highly developed analytical capabilities and a numerical mind• You have experience of using Excel and generally a confident user of standard software applications• You've a good knowledge of the general insurance industry• You're used to presenting information to a wide variety of colleagues, tailoring it to their individual styles to build credibility• You're able to react to change and adapt with ease• You're a problem solverWhy Co-op?When you join the Co-op you'll become part of an organisation where principles are just as important as profits.
