The Business Investment Analyst Marketing & Sales role supports the Fuels North America (Fuels NA) businesses and is as a key member of the business team it supports. This role is accountable for decision support activities, economic modelling, sensitivity analysis, functional assurance, etc. for business investments.
Provide the investment decision support for ATNs (Authority to Negotiate), FMs (Financial Memorandums) and support coordination of the business review process in a way which achieves quality, unbiased, and timely reviews of investment proposals. As such it will: maintain close working relationship with the Fuels NA business and provide meaningful input and challenge into the prioritization of business investment
provide the necessary support and guidance to Project and Business Commercial Development projects as they progress through the CVP process in accordance with GIAAP and EEM standards.
act as a commercial consultant supporting new deals, lease renewals, marketing programs, etc.
Interface with teams outside the business (Group Functions such as Accounting Policy, Tax, and Treasury as well as the Segment head office) as projects are progressed
Participate in strategy development, benchmarking, and other cross-refinery interactions.
Support Post-Project Evaluation (PPE) process across the business
Provide financial modeling, competitive benchmarking and support for projects and strategic initiatives.
Bachelors Degree in business, finance, engineering, or other technical discipline.
Essential experience and job requirements
5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Refining, Pipelines, Supply, Sales or Marketing
Ability to model business structure and ability to compare base case to investment case
Strong analytical skills and financial knowledge
