Senior Business Systems Analyst - CDC','180001491','!*!The U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC) Technology Team is looking for a new Senior Business Systems Analyst to participate in the continued development of our Equity and Debt platform which supports the USBCDC core divisions of Historic Renovations, Renewable Energy, New Market and Affordable Housing. This requires a person with a strong work ethic and personal accountability. The ideal candidate for this job likes to work in a small, entrepreneurial team based environment, express ideas, provide input and participate in all areas of application development.
A strong business systems analyst is needed for this role. The position allows for exposure to a variety of tasks and responsibilities both within the USBCDC and the overarching corporate structure. Our team is responsible for all technology requirements for the USBCDC, working with the Corporate Technology and Operations Services teams as needed. The primary role of this team is in the development of the core Web application used by the USBCDC and its supporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a successful track record of working in a team environment developing mission-critical line-of-business applications.
Works independently, highly motivated, takes ownership of assignments and provides guidance concerning business implications of development projects.
Serves as a consultant to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve business results.
Balances multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
Experience with Agile software development methodology, preferably Scrum.
Collaborates with the rest of the development team in an Agile software development methodology and provides leadership in the continuous refinement of processes and methodologies.
Partners with the business line to develop requirements and evaluate user needs in order to develop an understanding of business impact and business processes.
Acts as a liaison and technical resource between management and staff to define and communicate standards of operational policy, plans, customer service or financial/performance reporting.
Maintains applicable systems to monitor and track projects, plans and/or data; provides reports to management as needed.
Formulates proposals for new systems and information needs by analyzing existing systems and procedures and defining recommended technical and procedural improvements.
Reviews testing, training and implementation plans.','!*!Basic Qualifications
At least 6 years experience with the development life cycle
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience
Subject matter expert in requirement gathering, analysis and workflow analysis standards, quality and timeliness
Experience documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks and success factors
Extensive experience participating in the modification of existing applications or development of new applications
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word
Database skills, mainly in SQL Server
Experience in reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Strong background in finance or accounting
Experience with IT Project Management
