JOB SUMMARY
At the direction of the Business Information Manager, interprets business rules into functional specifications for all information systems. Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations for required maintenance of those systems as well as new systems. Assists in the enforcement of product/service standards, deadlines and schedules by creating and maintaining detailed development plans. Defines test conditions, creates test plans, and conducts tests to ensure business requirements are met. Responsible for change management of above systems and coordinates all routine maintenance and upgrades. Monitors performance of such systems and reports deficiencies and/or makes recommendations for increased functionality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Two (2) years experience in Business Information role.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Access and Excel
Proven experience writing and modifying SQL queries
Demonstrated ability to create, modify and design MS Access databases
Proficient in extracting, manipulating, converting and integrating data to and from various systems
Ability to execute and modify SQL stored procedures
Experience creating reports in SSRS, Crystal Reports, or using Monarch
Comprehensive understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
Knowledge and experience with legacy and web-based system integration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five years experience in computer applications and/or database administration.
Three years experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO and Managed Care functions (e.g. accounting/finance, reinsurance, EDI, marketing, administration, medical delivery, regulatory compliance, claims processing, membership/eligibility, contracting and risk arrangements and actuarial precepts).
Ability to apply accounting, mathematical and statistical principles to assigned tasks.
Demonstrated ability to create, modify and design SQL databases.
NOTE:
