Amyx is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst for task 3 located in Washington, DC to support new work with the Department of Energy. The Consultant will provide support the Office of the Cheif Financial Officer's (OCFO) Office of Financial Risk, Policy, and Controls (CF-50) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) with the Financial Management Assurance (FMA) and Entity Assurance Tool (EAT) programs. The successful candidate will also provide functional and technical support of the NNSA and CF-50 methodologies/processes, toolsets and training require to successfully perform the programs.
Responsibilities and Daily Tasks:
The Business Systems Analyst will work with CF-50, the NNSA Service Center, the site offices, and Labs to support the ongoing operation and, as necessary, improve tools issues identified in the FMA and EAT programs.
The Business Systems Analyst will have knowledge of:
Internal controls at Federal agencies (financial and operational)
FInancial management and reporting requiremnts at Federal agencies, etc.
Business process models and business process integration
DOE and NNSA organizational structure and relationships (legal/operational/technical) with the various Contractor Labs and Sites as well as iwth the HQ Programs and DOE
DOE and NNSA policies, procedures, guidelines, and implementation approach in support of their Financial Management and Entity Assurances
FMA and EAT Tool Suites (including design, programming, and maintenance and support)
Maintenance and operational support of the existing FMA and EAT Tool Suites and associated processes and data to include:
Knowldedge of VB programming within a MS Excel enviroment to provide form based, table driven, secure data management capabilities
Advanced MS Excel knowledge of data functions
Operations of end user help desk
Quality assurance of submitted data
Reporting, analysis, and presentation of submitted data results
Advise DOE and NNSA and perform the maintenance of the current FMA and EAT tool suites. Assis with other related software support/maintenance areas as requested by DOE and NNSA.
Help Desk Services
Provide ongoing end user help desk services for the resolution of technical FMA and EAT questions and issues
Develop interim workarounds and patches where necessary
Assis DOE as necessary
Analyze help desk trends and provide input to idenity areas in the tools, processes or documentation requriing improvement and develop release strategy
Update user documentation to enable end users to fully implement FMA and EAT and comply with all requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Accounting or other related discipline
Eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance
10 years of experience
Assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic.
