The Strategic Market Planning Analyst provides support in making strategic data related decisions by internally analyzing, manipulating, tracking, managing and reporting data. This experienced analyst works with internal stakeholders to develop the right set of questions/hypothesis and utilizes the appropriate tools to provide the best information to meet their needs. Assists with decision-making processes by providing analytical guidance to department leads with a focus on membership forecasting. Provides oversight for the content, format & production of regular & ad hoc reports. Utilizes specified analytical methods to access and report on data from KP information systems. Researches key business issues and collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data assessing changes and identifying associations among measured outcomes and trends. Proactively records workflows, deliverables and standard procedures for projects and reporting. Participates in and may facilitate work groups and committees. May oversee & verify correctness of regulatory reports.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree OR combination of education and 4 years of directly related experience equivalent to at least an Admin Analyst I.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or Computer Science.
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Knowledge of financial accounting and analysis and data collection and analysis. Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload. Communication, critical thinking, organizational, decision making, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and presentation skills. Software skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Knowledge of GHC systems, Lotus Notes, HTML, SAS, SPSS, GQL, Visual Basic and other database programs related to the department or division; medical terminology and practices; project management, TQM, TQI, statistics, accounting and budgeting.
Minimum Experience Requirements
3 years Analytical, data management & reporting, computer/programming, and/or business experience. May require prior experience in department/division and/or programming.
Healthcare industry experience.
