Senior Systems/Business Analyst

Profile

A New York City government agency located in New York, NY, is looking

for a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a five (5) year

contract.

Mandatory Requirements:

--5 years' experience in

business system analysis

--5 years of hands on COBOL, CICS, VSAM,

DB2, JCL and Assembler Language experience.

--In-depth understanding

of NYCs current property tax system (known as Fairtax); and an

in-depth understanding of NYCs current property and taxation

policies as well as current organization structure.

--Familiarity

with terms and conditions of Government billing and taxation policies

and its related language.

--Management experience at a senior

business level.

--Detailed knowledge of existing applications

including Install1 and MetaCOBOL architecture.

--Ability to maintain

an excellent working relationship with both business and technical

staff.

Job Description:

In conjunction with its on-going effort

to modernize its core legacy system applications, the government

agency is seeking an experienced Senior Systems/Business Analyst to

help analyze, develop requirements and specifications as well as

assist with the migration of data during implementation of a new

system.

The consultant will perform the following

activities:

--Understand the functionality or be able to reverse

engineer over 200 Assembler programs.

--Set strategy and develop

requirements for re-engineering the taxation system for the

replacement architecture.

--Provide database design and support for

the conversion and migration of data of 30 VSAM files in its property

system to newer technology.

--Provide database design, support and

migration of over 300 DB2 tables.

--Provide design and

re-engineering support for the functional conversion of over 200 CICS
