As a Sr Insights Analyst supporting our efforts to accelerate the Microsoft and LinkedIn partnership, you will shape and deliver on the strategy for how Microsoft can supercharge its go-to-market efforts via sales intelligence powered by LinkedIn. In this role, you will test, build, and support tools and processes used by thousands of Microsoft sales professionals every day. This includes prototyping, developing, and validating internal and customer-facing solutions core to Microsoft and LinkedIn’s go-to-market success. Using your strong analytic skill and LinkedIn's unique data, you will enhance projects and create new projects focused on driving growth using LinkedIn data, tools and processes at Microsoft. Put simply: you will use the LinkedIn dataset to uncover data-driven ways to change how one of the world’s largest technology companies sells.
Identify opportunities to inject LinkedIn data into the Microsoft sales process and projects, while upholding our promise to customer and member first principles
Work closely with Microsoft counterpart to identify and realize opportunities for collaboration using LinkedIn data to improve and create innovative analysis, reporting, and applications
Partner with sales, product, and marketing to improve data-driven decision making and drive LinkedIn and Microsoft’s joint go-to-market efforts for Microsoft’s Relationship Sales Solution (MRSS).
Move quickly to conceptualize, scope, and validate potential new solutions and applications
Write SQL/Hive/Pig/Python queries to extract the necessary data to power these solutions
Work creatively with engineers to scale and maintain systems capable of leveraging and reusing data to deliver business impact
Translate data & insights into stories, headlines & recommendations for exec audiences to change across LinkedIn and Microsoft
Build cross-functional consensus for operational improvements and partner effectively with other teams to deliver these solutions
Evangelize the use of data in sales and act as a thought leader about the use of data in sales and marketing
3 years of experience in management consulting, product management or analytics
2 years of experience with SQL
Experience with project management
Experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs
Experience in the technology industry
Experience creating business requirements
Experience working across a matrixed organization
Statistical expertise using R, python, or equivalent a plus
Knowledge of Hadoop (Hive/PIG) and Python
Excellent communication, teamwork, collaboration and analytical skills
Ability to provide a business lens to analytical and technical problems
Ability to build alliances across the company
Ability to translate user feedback into tool requirements
