The individual will be responsible for interpreting business needs and translating them into application requirements and use case functionality. This individual must be an expert with the processes and tools used to develop vision documents, functional requirements documents, use case documents and understand the development life cycle and testing procedures. This individual must have excellent communication skills, be able to lead large meetings and influence business and IT teams, and be able to lead a project team. This individual must be able to collaborate effectively and lead business analysts from other IT project teams. They must be able to multi-task on multiple projects and support activities in a high paced IT environment while completing tasks on-time. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Leads business partners in defining needs and requirements, exploring new opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and recommending process improvements.\u00a0 Elicits information from all levels of the organization to finalize accurate business scope and system requirements. Is able to prioritize business requests effectively. Prepares cost\/benefit analysis and responsible for project time and cost tracking. Negotiates project scope and delivery options. Able to influence decisions. Develops vision documents, functional requirements documents and use case documents. Leads work with Visual Designer to create corresponding user interface designs. Strong experience in data analysis and functional analysis and able to document process and data flows. Demonstrates ability to perform complex systems analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution. Capable of leading a project team and interfacing with the business to define and translate business requests into technology initiatives. Investigates and recommends solutions for application defects, and works with the business and Quality Assurance to test application fixes and enhancements.\u00a0 Identifies data requirements; maps data across systems and technology platforms and verifies that data has been successfully migrated from one system to another. Leads application developers in creating prototypes, testing functionality and verifying outputs with business. Manages the business in the development of test plans and leads Quality Assurance, database, technical and operational analysts to ensure successful testing, training and deployment. Manages and facilitates testing efforts along with their business partners as it pertains to the delivery of enterprise functional deliverables Primary point of contact for the business for analyzing and resolving production support issues. In this capacity, may need to access production systems to troubleshoot issues. Provides additional training to the business on enhancements and\/or defect fixers through personal discussion and documentation. Works with IT leadership to adopt changes, make process improvements, and set direction for the business analysts. Leads, coaches, and mentors other business analysts. Gains business and project team commitment to decisions and goals.\u00a0 Seizes opportunities and takes calculated risks to move the business forward. Exercises long-term vision. Helps set organization direction. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree and 6 years experience as a Business Analyst preferred. Extensive experience working with customers to gather business requirements and document those requirements in a language that can be understood by both IT and the business. Extensive experience building use cases with business partners including documenting process flows, business rules, tasking, notifications, and articulating overall functionality needed by the business. Expert understanding of database concepts and experience using SQL to query, select, filter and sort data. Knowledge of Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Project. Knowledge of Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server) is a plus. Excellent business writing ability.
