Description

Humana's Grievance & Appeals team is look for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join working remote anywhere in the US! The Senior Business Systems Analyst performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Senior Business Systems Analyst work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Systems Analyst:


Works closely with end users to identify and design enhances to improve a business workflow
Formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation
Provides assistance and backup coverage for release management
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 years of IT or business analysis experience
Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering
Experience working in an Agile environment
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Visio


Preferred Qualifications


Located in Louisville, KY
Experience with MHK
Previous Grievance and Appeals or Healthcare industry experience
Experience writing stories or business requirements that include PHI and PII data
Experience producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Experience in problem analysis and process
MBA or other Advanced Degree


Additional Information

Candidates that reside within 50 miles of Louisville, KY will be expected to be in office as needed once restrictions are lifted. All others will be 100% virtual/remote.
