Pearson’s Global Digital Channels & Experience group is part of the Direct to Consumer eCommerce group at Pearson and is looking for a Digital Analytics Specialist to join our Digital Analytics & Insights team to help with the maintenance and implementation of web analytics, CX measurement tools and data analysis frameworks.


We need a technical minded candidate with an interest in data science, analytics and analysis. Candidates should be proactive, with excellent communication and organization skills.


Pearson’s Global Digital Channels & Experience group is part of the Direct to Consumer eCommerce group at Pearson and is looking for an eCommerce Operations Specialist who will assist with operational end-to-end efforts supporting customer satisfaction and streamlined customer journey on its eCommerce storefronts.  The specialist will also assist in driving improvements to our eCommerce funnels through digital insights and testing programs. We need a commercially minded, optimization expert with an ability to think strategically, look at the business analytically, obsess about the details and implement improvements with speed.

Key Responsibilities:


Existing eCommerce Operations Maintenance:

Own product maintenance process including gathering necessary data from business units, uploading to the eCommerce store, formatting per product master standards, testing, providing test links to clients, making products live, etc.

Updating and removing product information as necessary including price changes, availability, versions, etc.

Manage electronic product keys – ordering, stocking, monitoring, etc.  

Monitor stores for fraud/order issues.


New eCommerce Store Setup

Create and maintain product catalog.   

Document fulfillment processes.   

Assist with User Acceptance Testing.   

Make edits to stores as required by the business units, Operations Managers and/or Marketing Managers.   

Make large-scale changes to Product offerings such as Internationalization.

Other Duties as assigned


Customer Support:

Serve as first line of contact for customer service escalations on the store.  

Document new processes/procedures.   

Organize, update and maintain Customer Service documentation.   

Assist in troubleshooting technical issues.   

Act as back up for Customer Service when there is a need.


Marketing Support:

Work with marketing teams on setup, implementation, tracking and analysis of marketing promotions, product bundles, and special offers.


Client Services:   

Run operations reports daily/weekly/monthly and on an ad-hoc basis.

Create coupons on request.

First Line of contact for business unit inquiries.

Must Have Attributes:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Prior experience with eCommerce with a can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.

Collaborates well in close knit, dynamic teams and who understands cross-functional implications of business decisions

Works well in a fast-paced environment and has a constant thirst for knowledge and continuous curiosity

Demonstrated ability to multitask and balance creativity, analytics and strategic thinking while making quick progress in the rapidly evolving eCommerce landscape

Personal Qualities:

Communication skills: You have excellent verbal communication skills, able to collaborate with others for problem solving and requirements gathering. You're happy to work with teams to education and spread ideas. Your written skills allow you to communicate documentation and collaborate through agile management systems such as Jira, or Confluence.

Time Management: You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex business environment, coupled with the aptitude to set priorities, manage deadlines, and make bold data-driven decisions.

Judgement and problem-solving skills: You are a proactive problem solver, naturally inquisitive and independent critical thinker with a creative mind set.
