Create and track business requirements relevant to EDPS Next Generation.

Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.

Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced IT.

Creating XLC artifacts for EDPS Next Generation.

Understanding Medicare ‘Fee For Service’ (FFS) Internet Only Manuals and identifying the changes to the ongoing business requirements/rules.

Keeping updated with ongoing change requests to Medicare FFS system and documenting the impacts to EDPS Next Generation

Creating change requests and updating detailed business requirements impacting EDPS Next Generation.

Present the change request to internal change control board (ICCB) and CCB with customer.

Job Requirements:


Understanding of the software development life cycle (Agile and waterfall)

Experience developing use cases, requirements and performing functional testing in a variety of environments.

Expertise and knowledge of various business modeling technical and using graphical process flow software or Visio to document.

Experience with business analysis tasks such as gap analysis, situational analysis, requirements solicitation, impact analysis, risk analysis.

Experience creating and maintaining requirements related project artifacts to include Business Requirements Document, Interface Control Documents, and others (expertise with CMS XLC artifacts is highly desired)

Experience in developing use cases, requirements and supporting functional testing to ensure correct outcomes and results

Five or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals performs a variety of analysis tasks, under general supervision.

Experience documenting the change requests and presenting the business rules to the CCB’s.

Bachelor's degree or higher in technology-related field or relevant experience in implementing software in the health information technology

Highly Desired:

Experience working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) development environment.

Working experience with CMS XLC and artifacts.

Experience with healthcare claims processing and payment business rules.
