What you’ll do on a typical day:
Lead large sessions with functional users, staff, and support organizations to document and draft requirements
Define project success criteria and deliver to the involved parties; prioritize projects and deliverables, negotiate schedules, and manage expectations related to delivery
Ensure the program/project remains on schedule and quality program/project standards are met; manage changes in scope, direction, or any problems that could delay the project
Collaborate with Business and QA teams to prepare test plans and evaluate test results for application implementations
Ensure Business Systems Analyst team is properly trained and prepared for projects and tasks; coach, mentor, and lead team, educating them on the method being used and their role in the project’s success
Oversee the requirements gathering process and deliverables while also ensuring technical structure can satisfy business needs; identify and manage project dependencies, and audit projects to ensure standard project management principles are being followed
Manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Business Systems Analyst Team; address complaints and resolve problems
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Business
6 years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design
8 years of experience with development or development project teamwork
Familiarity with the most widely-known and emerging tools and technologies
Strong understanding of SDLC
It’d be great if you also have:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
Ability to act as subject matter expert and provide training, troubleshooting, and other support for software applications managed by business unit (i.e., Oracle ERP)
Excellent project management skills
Oracle Financials experience
