Medicare Business Analyst Jobs
Medicare is an insurance program administered by the United States government which provides health insurance coverage to people who are aged 65 and over or who meet other special criteria.
A Medicare business analyst may assist with the administration and management of a Medicare Prescription Drug Program and may support Medicare compliance initiatives. The role involves conducting data analysis as well as analyzing claims, enrollment, and general health insurance data. Other important duties include defining system specifications, executing process improvement, providing general materials development support, assisting in the development of training programs, developing new business opportunities, producing accurate reports, translating business needs into technical specifications, and developing test plans and test cases.
A job seeker with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and prior experience related to business analysis in the healthcare industry can apply for a Medicare business analyst job. Some companies may also require Medicare claims processing experience. Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills are also important.
